For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.
1 Corinthians 12:12
All of your bodies have members: arms, legs, ears, and various other parts. Even though you have all of these different parts of the body, when they are united, they are all one body, just as the body of Christ is one.
God has assigned roles to various parts of the natural body, just as He has assigned various roles to members of the body of Christ—roles that may be different than what you thought they should be. There are some parts of the body that are more glamorous than other parts—parts you want to dress up—and some parts of the body you definitely want to keep hidden. Some people would rather be the eye, and and some would rather be the foot. But the key phrase is "as it hath pleased him" (1 Corinthians 12:18). If you love God, you desire to please Him in whatever way you can. You are not only a son or daughter of God but also a servant of God. My whole adult life has been about serving God and doing my best to be in the place God wants me to be.

Father,
Thank you for making me a member of your body. I praise you for being fearfully and wonderfully made to serve you in any way you desire. In Jesus' name, Amen.
