Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular. And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.
1 Corinthians 12:27-28
God Almighty, the creator of the universe, wants you and has selected you for a specific calling. Notice that the ministry of helps is in the same list as apostles, prophets, and teachers. God sets helps in the church to carry out His will. An apostle's ministry does not get any more reward than a person in the ministry of helps who works in the parking lot or a person running one of the cell groups.
Incidentally, the Greek word for government means directorship and pilotage. The pilot is the person God may have set at the helm to drive the boat, but the boat isn't going anywhere without the engine if it's a powerboat or without a sail if it's a sailboat. The boat isn't going anywhere without regular maintenance. The boat isn't going anywhere without someone who knows how to steer the boat, someone who has the gift of government.
How can you walk in and fulfill the gift God has given you? Paul said that he was able to walk in his call because of grace, which not only means unmerited favor but also divine power, divine help and manifestation of the blessing (see Ephesians 3:7). There is a place of grace where God has instructed each person to be. God has favored you by providing all you need to fulfill His call.

Father,
Thank you for calling me and gifting me to do your will. Most of all, thank you for providing all the power and divine help I need to be faithful and fulfill your will. In Jesus' name, Amen.
