Divine Direction Mindset From Our God

Thanksgiving

Today we still celebrate this national and legal holiday, but are we celebrating in the right manner as Christians? Are we forgetting the main purpose of this day is prayer and thanksgiving as we feast and fellowship? The Lord is not opposed to our feasting and our gathering of friends and family to dine, but if our only prayer is to ask God to bless our food are we not forgetting the real meaning of this day? God delights in blessing us as His children. However, do we, as His children delight in blessing Him with our prayers and thanks? Do our celebrations revolve more around the meal and the football game that follows, than around the discussion of the things we should be thankful for? Many are worshipping the idol of ball games on holidays instead of focusing on the true meaning of Thanksgiving. Not that watching games are wrong in themselves, but many have forgotten the Lord and have replaced thanking God, praying and reading the Bible with watching games, drinking and eating. Let us ask God to forgive us and truly celebrate this day in real thanksgiving and prayer.

Unto thee, O God, do we give thanks: for that thy name is near thy wondrous works declare. Psalm 75:1

O Give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. Psalm 107:1

Today we all are sharing in having a day of thanksgiving for a holiday that was created by man and we should not have to just celebrate with friends and family just this one day .

For me I celebrate everyday because God has given me a day to be thankful for his many blessings.

Be reminded of the word that shall come to pass in 2018

 

The Lord spoke to me concerning 2018  through this sign. He said:

"This coming year is a year to remember My promises, no matter what you see happening around you – My promises are sure and they will prevail for those who believe.

"Tumult, shakings, and turmoil will fill the earth, and the Word and ways of God will be challenged on many fronts. But those who stand on My Word and live by My promises will be blessed beyond measure.

"I am inviting you to make a quality decision to live ONLY by My Word and promises. If you choose this direction, I will bring you into an abundant place and you will stand secure and blessed in the midst of an evil day. I will lead you into fields that are white with harvest. I will lead you into fruitfulness.

"Your life is in My hands. I am the Captain of your ship and I will lead you through the channel of promises into a glorious place. Remember My promises in 2018."

 

 

God is still here

 

Do not fear says the Lord, even though you may not feel my presence at all times. For although your feelings may tell you that I am no longer there, the truth is I am always still there.

I will never withdraw My presence from you, even if you have failed to come into My presence, whether intentionally or unintentionally. My love for you is never conditional upon what you do, but it remains constant no matter what you do.

Therefore do not allow the enemy to tell you that I have withdrawn My presence from you because of your failures. Do not believe the lie that I am withholding My presence in order to discipline you or bring you to order.

I said I will never leave you or forsake you, and I will always keep My promises, no matter what you do.

Know that I am waiting patiently for you to come and fellowship with Me, and I will welcome you with open arms. Do not allow the pressures of this world or your own fears and failures to rob you of the wonder of fellowshipping with Me.

At your first cry I am there. At your first move to come near to Me, I am already drawing nearer to you.

Just come as you are, and you will soon begin to feel My presence once again, and know the blessing that comes from intimacy with Me says the Lord.

 

The First Key to the Kingdom of God

 

 

I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

1 Timothy 2:1-4

The keys to the kingdom of God, to which Jesus referred in Matthew 16:19, allow us to bind the devil and lose (destroy and break up) his efforts against people. What are some of the keys and how are we to use them?

The first key to the kingdom is prayer. Notice that 1 Timothy 2:1-4 says that prayer should be a first of all thing; in other words, prayer should be prioritized above everything else!

Paul told the young pastor that supplications (requests), and prayers were to be made with energy, emotion, and a sense of caring. Intercessions (standing in the gap for someone who can’t stand in the gap for themselves) and giving of thanks were to be made for all men. Did you notice those last three words? We’re to pray for everyone because everyone, unless they have used the key to enter the door to the kingdom of God, is enslaved. They cannot get free from the grip of the devil unless a greater power is exerted on their behalf. Prayer is that greater power that destroys the chains that bind people in servitude to the devil.

Sinners have no chance unless you pray. They don’t know how to get out of the devil’s grip, but your prayers can make the difference. I know the reason I’m saved today is because someone prayed for me. Pray for all men that they will be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth!

If you choose this direction, I will bring you into an abundant place and you will stand secure and blessed in the midst of an evil day. I will lead you into fields that are white with harvest. I will lead you into fruitfulness.

Fourth month and what you shall receive

 

 

This is going to be a year of outrageous love being poured into and through the people of God. This is going to manifest in an amazing release of glory breaking out all around us everywhere we go. We are going to be activated as releasers of glory in this season in an all new way. It’s time for a love revolution to be sparked and for change to come to our world. Are you ready?

The result of this fresh outpouring is revival. That includes new doors opening, fresh paths being uncovered, revelation exploding, new callings and mantles being released to us and so much more. These are days of restoration which includes recovering lost inheritances from natural and spiritual generations. It's a turnaround time!

Disobedience has Repercussions

And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them thoroughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter. And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.

Genesis 11:3-4

We read here in Genesis chapter eleven that the people who settled in Shinar wanted to make a name for themselves. The word name is shem in the Hebrew. Shem means honor and authority. In other words, they said, “Let us make our own honor. Let us make our own authority.”  They didn’t want to go forth and be fruitful upon the earth. They wanted to stay right where they were.

They said, “lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.” God said, “I want you to be scattered,” and they said, “No, we don't want to be.” They said, “We want to sit right here, and we are going to build the monument to ourselves. We are going to build something that is grand and glorious, and we are going to do what we want to do and forget what God told Noah.”  This all happened just a few generations after Noah. They all knew what the Lord told Noah. They had heard about the ark. They were well aware of the flood, yet they still decided, “We are going to do what we want to do.” Their plans and path of disobedience soon came to an end when God scattered them. Disobedience has repercussions. Individuals may get away with living in opposition to God’s plans for a while, but you can’t disregard God’s directives forever. Obedience is blessed, but disobedience has serious consequences.

Prayer for Today

Father, I repent for trying to do things my way and for not following Your plans and directives. Thank You for the blood of Jesus that allows me to start over and obey today, in Jesus’ name.

 

 

 

 

I see your heart and know your desires for true relationship with Me, says the Lord.  Your faithfulness to Me and My people will be rewarded with My presence.  Refuse to be distracted from spiritual pursuit.  Stay on course and be steadfast. 

 

Psalms 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me.                           

 

 

Stay in touch with Me so that you know what I am doing and understand the directives that I give you in the journey you are on. Stay in touch with Me. Don't go off by yourself . If you go off by yourself without Me you are going to wind up off in the weeds of this life. You are going to make wrong judgments and do wrong things, and whatever you sow you will reap. So, stay in touch with Me so that I can guide you through these perilous times, through the maze of these few months that are before you. Stay with Me. Be one with Me, says the Lord.

 

Your time must Coincide with my timing

 

This is a time when maintaining spiritual focus is more difficult and will require effort and determination for you to stay on course.  Keep your priorities straight even in the midst of distractions.  Many things will require or even demand your attention, but spending time with Me will be the most rewarding, says the Lord.  Psalm 27:8 When You said, "Seek My face," My heart said to You, "Your face, Lord, I will seek."

 

You Follow and I lead

 

I am directing you to do things that you would not normally do, but I have purpose for you in the byways of life.  Not to mention that I want you to be present in ways that will reveal My presence, says the Lord.  Be sensitive and obedient to My leading.  It is unlikely that you will know the impact of what you do at this time.

Isaiah 6:8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: "Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?" Then I said, "Here am I! Send me."

 

He is With Me Always

 

I am with you in times of trouble and in the midst of difficulties.  Know that if you look for Me I will be found.  If you will take one tiny step towards Me, I will take a giant leap towards you.  I will present Myself in ways that you would never expect, but in ways that will be exactly what you need at this moment, says the Lord. 

 

Psalm 27:13 I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.

 

Your Lifes trials are for your making

 

 

Your life experience contains many moving parts, and those parts are coming into alignment to allow new possibilities.  The doors will open to present opportunities to accomplish what has been beyond your scope of imagination.  These are things that you cannot foresee or predict, but you can prepare and position yourself spiritually by faith to progress when the time is right, says the Lord. 

 

Mark 1:3b Prepare the way of the Lord; make His paths straight.

God is Giving

 

Give and it will be given to you in ways that you will not expect; in ways that are beyond your imagination. I will bring the goodness of the Lord into your life because you have become a giver. Give as I lead and direct. Give and do the things I ask you to do. Give yourself to prayer when I call you to pray; give yourself to help people when I call you to help. Give yourself to Me and My Kingdom and serve Me with a willing heart. And, because you have a willing heart, multiplied blessings are coming to you in this season.

A Day That Is New

As we celebrate Advent and the mystery of Christ coming to earth, we see a shadow—the shadow of the cross—amid the joy and light of the season. We recognize that Jesus’ birth was part of God’s plan that would ultimately lead to His death. And Jeremiah’s prophecy several hundred years before (Jeremiah 31:31-34) pointed to a new covenant that God would establish through Christ.

During days of destruction for Judah, Jeremiah prophesied a time when God would “make a new covenant with [His] people” (Jeremiah 31:31) and—ultimately—all those who would one day believe in Jesus. This new covenant would resolve the problem of human sinfulness by not only “[forgiving] their wickedness” and forgetting their sin (Jeremiah 31:34), but actually placing God’s “instructions deep within them” and writing “them on their hearts” (Jeremiah 31:33).

As the writer of Hebrews declares, this is possible because Jesus was “given a ministry that is far superior to the old priesthood” (Hebrews 8:6). Although the priesthood graciously revealed God to His people, through the coming of Jesus we’re transformed by the Holy Spirit indwelling us and working within us when we receive Christ as Savior (Romans 7:6).

Because of the new covenant, we can experience joy in the midst of pain and sorrow—for Jesus by His Spirit is within us and our future with Him is secure!

 

 

What you sow will come back on you

 

Galatians 6:7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap

 

lf-restraint is particularly important in these days.  You must monitor your thoughts, words, and actions.  What you put out will come back to you multiplied.  Stop and assess your current situation as you look to see if you are reaping what you have sown.  If you are feeling judged or persecuted it is more than possible that you have judged and persecuted others at least in your thoughts and words, says the Lord.  Do not delay in making adjustments that will produce a better harvest.  

 

 

Expect Me To Move in Your Midst

Psalm 42:5 Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him for the help of His countenance.

 

I speak to multitudes who have seemingly lost hope.  Examine yourself to see what it is that you are hoping for.  Hope in the world or in humanity will always disappoint.  But, if you set your expectations on Me and My kingdom and live according to My will and purposes, I will lead you through the maze of despair.  I will bring you into light, says the Lord.

 

 

  Isaiah 44:22b  Return to Me, for I have redeemed you.

 

When you lose focus do not go the route of condemnation.  Rather, make the necessary corrections that will lead back to the path of righteousness.  Return to Me for wisdom and healing of the heart.  I have not forsaken you, says the Lord.  You are precious in My sight.  Proceed with confidence in My ability to move you in the right direction.

 

Confirming our Sin

 

 

Our sin, or the sins of others against us, can result in bitter conflict. But instead of allowing it to dissolve into silence or explode into violence, we’re called to prayerfully bring our grievance to God (James 4:2,8) and humbly deal with the issue (James 4:6-7,9).

Avoiding conflict can be easy. But it’s also harmful. Addressing conflict can be difficult. But it can result in healing and joy.

In humility, by God’s power, let’s address the mess. 

 

AHarvest Shall Come Forth

Matthew 7:12a  "Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them."

 

Beloved, it is My wish that you learn to be gentle with everyone.  The world is full of harshness and severity, but you must be kind, tender and understanding.  Only then, will you be led by My Spirit into blessing and abundance.  Remember that what you sow is the substance of your harvest. 

Prepared for the New Season

 

 

I am preparing you for the next phase of life.  The past is behind and has become part of your history, but it is not vital to where you are now.  You will benefit greatly by staying connected to Me, says the Lord.  Stay relevant to My plans and purposes for your life, and be sensitive to that which is required of you at this time so that you are free to forge ahead.  I am with you every step of the way.

 

  Psalm 37:23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way.

 

Ignore your Natural Feelings

1 Corinthians 7:35 And this I say for your own profit, not that I may put a leash on you, but for what is proper, and that you may serve the Lord without distraction.

 

Your encounters will reveal situations that would not only become distractions, but could cause you to feel disoriented.  You need to keep your feet planted firmly on what is true and good.  Entertaining any fantasy at all will result in a long and unfruitful ride.  Stay present with Me, says the Lord, and look to Me for guidance.  Be alert!  1

 

In The Earth Satan is Working

 

And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.

Ephesians 2:1-6

Did you notice the phrase, prince of the power of the air in Ephesians 2:1-6? The word prince means chief; power means authority. The word worketh is energeo in Greek. It means something that is active and efficient. In other words, there was an energy that worked in each one of us before we received Jesus; it drove us into sin. The chief authority and driver of that sinful energy, who functions in the atmosphere around the earth, is Satan.

 When the Bible uses the word heaven, you have to ask yourself, “Which heaven?”  The first heaven is the one Paul referred to in Ephesians 2:1-6 when he used the word air; it is the atmosphere around the earth. The second heaven is what we call outer space. Satan operates within these first two heavens.

Practical Application

Satan and his demons work within the atmospheres around the earth, but his greatest effort is against your mind! He knows if he can get you into doubt and fear, he can have access to every area of your life! Cast down imaginations and every high thing that doesn’t agree with God’s Word! (2 Corinthians 10:5)

 

 

Getting into the Kingdom

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

John 3:3

How can someone get into the kingdom of God? Many people assume that anyone who lived a “good life” will go to heaven when he or she dies. There are a few problems with that assumption.

First, how good is good? The person who supported the local scout troop, was president of the Rotary Club, and volunteered at the soup kitchen would be considered by most to be “good.” However, even with all of those good deeds, that person also did some bad deeds. If you base your salvation on doing good things, how do you know when you’ve done enough to outweigh the bad deeds to “earn” heaven?

Second, the Bible is very clear about how someone can get into the kingdom of God, and it is not by good deeds. In John 3:3, Jesus told Nicodemus that he had to be born again to enter the kingdom of God. Nicodemus was a ruler of the Jews, or a Pharisee. Pharisees were very religious. They kept the law more completely than any other group of people in Jesus’ day, but Jesus didn’t say that Nicodemus could enter the kingdom because he followed the Law so fastidiously. Jesus told him that that only way to enter the kingdom of God was to be born again. Nicodemus’ status as a Pharisee didn’t give him a different path into the kingdom or a higher rank. The kingdom of God is open to whosever will come in, and everyone is equal!

You don’t have to wonder if you’re good enough to go to heaven when you die, but you must be born again. Romans 10:9-10 tells us how to be born again: “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

 

 

Jesus is The Rock

 

 

 

One of the two which heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother. He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.  And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.

John 1:40-42

John 1:40-42 records Peter’s first interaction with Jesus. As soon as Jesus laid eyes on Simon Peter, He called him a rock. In other words, the Lord acknowledged that one of His first apostles was a person of strong character. Jesus knew that when Peter committed to follow Him, he would be His wingman; He wouldn’t have to question Peter’s loyalty.

Some people are what I call “squishy” in everything. In other words, they lack substance. They don’t stand their ground based on moral and Biblical standards. One day they’re with you; the next day they’re against you. They allow the pressures of life to move them. They move to and fro, like a wave of the sea that is driven by the wind and tossed. (James 1:6)

The one whose life is firmly founded on the Word of God is solid. Jesus said in Matthew 7:24 that “whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock.”

 

Don’t be “squishy;” be a rock. Stand firmly on the Word of God. His Word is truth. Don’t let popular opinion, criticism, or social media convince you to change your position or get you away from God’s Word.

The Past Is Behind You

Philippians 3:13 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead.

Be bold and strong.  Resolutely leave the past behind.  Do it on purpose, and set your heart on what you can do to move on.  Nothing will change the mistakes that you have made.  Be finished with regret and the dread that overwhelms you.  Ask for and receive My forgiveness.  I will be with you in your new beginning, says the Lord.  Philippians 3:13 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead.

Your Desires Fufilled

I have seen the longing of your heart says the Lord and I am moving to fulfill that longing.

For as you have longed to be used by Me, and to function in My anointing, you have begun to release your faith for Me to do this.

And as you continue to stand in faith, I will cause the desires of your heart to manifest soon.

For just as a parent delights in blessing a child just to see the joy on the face of the child as they receive their hearts desire. So it delights Me to grant you the desire of your heart and to see the joy that it brings you.

For as you have desired to be a blessing and to know My power in greater measure, you have begun to reach out in faith. And your desire, combined with your faith are all that I need says the Lord.

For when you come to Me in faith and expectation, earnestly desiring My blessing, it moves My heart to bless you.

Therefore continue to live in expectation and soon you will begin to see the manifestation of everything that you have been desiring says the Lord.

It will come suddenly, when you least expect it. And when it does, you will know that it is time and you will run towards the goal and do great things for Me.

Only God is the real Deal

 

You mistakenly apply a sense of permanence to your current circumstances.  But, I tell you honestly that you are always in a state of transition.  Nothing in your physical, natural existence is immutable.  Embrace change.  Allow change to be an avenue of spiritual growth and blessing, says the Lord.  Only things of the Spirit are eternal. 

 

2 Corinthians 4:18 while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

 

 

Changing times

 

 

Times are changing, and you must adopt a mindset of flexibility.  Be sensitive to My leading, and be ready to make changes that will insure that you are where you need to be.  My path is a narrow one, and your obedience is the key to walking with Me, says the Lord.  Stay close! 

 

Romans 6:16 Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one's slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness?

Forever Enjoying God

 

We may sometimes have more questions than answers about eternity, but the closing chapters of Scripture describe a future that is far from boring. Imagine the moment when we see the face of Christ (Revelation 22:4). We won’t cower in fear before His blinding glory (Revelation 21:23), for He will gently “wipe every tear from [our] eyes,” assuring us that “there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain” (Revelation 21:4).

We will never have seen anyone so beautiful, nor feel so loved and embraced. When Jesus claims us by writing His name on our foreheads (Revelation 22:4), we will finally belong. Part of God’s family from every “language and people,” we will naturally sing praises to the King who redeemed us (Revelation 5:9-14).

And we will enjoy God here—because Jesus is returning to live forever with us on a restored Earth (Revelation 21:3). As exhilarating as that joyful worship service will be, when Jesus returns, singing will likely not be the only form of worship. Just as Adam and Eve walked with God yet also made time to garden and name the animals, so we will worship Jesus through all sorts of human activities (Revelation 21:24-26). We will have eternity to do what He’s prepared for us. As we reign with Jesus on a restored Earth, we can enjoy Him and every good thing—forever
